Naomi Mitcham a fait ses études au Canada atlantique, au Québec et en Écosse, et vit maintenant en Colombie-Britannique où elle enseigne à des enfants à besoins spéciaux. Depuis plusieurs années, elle est aussi recherchiste en histoire et en culture de même que rédactrice et artiste pour le Conseil de bande des Tlingit. Elle a illustré de nombreux livres, et ses aquarelles figurent dans des collections au Canada, en France et en Allemagne. 

Naomi Mitcham studied in Atlantic Canada, Québec, and Scotland, and now lives in British Columbia, where she teaches children with special needs. She has also been a historic and cultural researcher for several years, as well as an editor and artist for the Tlingit Tribe Council. She has illustrated many books, and her watercolour paintings are featured in collections across Canada, France, and Germany.
