This long-awaited volume contains the posthumous works of celebrated systemicfunctional linguist Michael Gregory. It comprises two early grammars of English, plus Gregory’s final writings. The grammars contain underappreciated nuances of English morphosyntax. They will also be of great interest to historians of linguistics. The three unpublished articles provide still-fresh reflections on judiciously combining Chomskyan with Hallidayan approaches.
